Boomer Challenge Winners Announced

After sorting through all the entries submitted in the Boomer Challenge, we are proud to announce the 2025 contest winners.

Bronze - Ken “Steakhouse Dressing” Kaufman

Ken’s entries had a west coast flavor, which was expected from a Giants fan.

His best: Mason “Dixon” Black Side note- He actually has a brother named Dixon

Silver - Blake “Griffin” Best

Blake was very lively in his submissions (pun intended). Had several good ones.

His best - Barry “Bail” Bonds

Gold - Larry “Samuel Langhorne” Clemens

Larry was our first participant, which is appropriate since he is one year older than Coot Putley. Demonstrated creativity and ability to recall players from the 50’s and 60’s.

His best - Mickey “Hang the stockings on the” Mantle and Harmon “Pop-a-top” Killebrew
