I was prepared to send out some comments about the status of the Cowboys after another pathetic performance - and I will - but for now I want to discuss Micah Parsons and his inexcusable remaks after the game. You’ve heard by now that he responded to a question about Mike McCarthy by throwing him under the bus, saying his coach could go anywhere, and implying that he was not deserving of respect.
Everyone knows that McCarthy will not be coaching Dallas next year, but he is still there now, and a player with class would have said that it was inappropriate to offer an opinion.
It is the equivalent of jumping on a pile after a ball carrier has already been tackled. Parsons comes across like a bully. Despite his tremendous physical ability he is absolutely not a leader.
One last point: I am not defending Mike McCarthy’s coaching ability and decision making, but I will point out he does have a Super Bowl ring. There aren’t any rings on any of the Cowboys’ fingers!
That’s one man’s opinion - what’s yours?
