Just a few comments to wrap up this year’s baseball trip. Obviously it was a blast. Six games in six different venues. We saw a game which only lasted an hour and fifty minutes and a slugfest which took twice that long. Each ballpark and each game had something entertaining, and we enjoyed them all. We met new friends and enjoyed visiting and talking baseball. There’s no friend like a baseball friend.
You probably know that I’m on a mission to see all the major league ballparks. I was making good progress checking them off my list. My wife and I had a couple of great road trips which conveniently featured some ballgames along the way. Then last year I discovered baseball tour companies. Suddenly the finish line was closer! I went on a midwestern trip with Grand Slam Tours in 2024, and of course you know about this year’s East Coast trip , with Diamond Baseball Tours, based in Dallas.
Even if you’re not attempting to see every park, I would encourage you to take a baseball trip if you get an opportunity. There are several companies which offer a variety of trips , with different options and prices. I was very satisfied with both companies that I used, but would recommend Diamond as the best value for the money. If you decide to travel with them, mention my name!

Lord willing, I hope to go on a West Coast trip next year and complete the goal. I would
be remiss if I didn’t express how blessed I am to be able to have these experiences. I’m thankful to God for good health and ability to travel, and I’m grateful to my wife, who is fully supportive of this goal and all my other crazy endeavors!
Finally, a shout out to the friend who has accompanied me on the two tours. We’ll call him Reff Codger. Reff and Coot go back a long way - best friends since the ninth grade.
For about 60 years we’ve been arguing about various things. For example, he liked Mays -I was a Mantle fan. And there have been hundreds of other disputable facts. All in fun - and we’re still best friends! Pretty cool.
That’s one man’s opinion - what’s yours?
